The Definition Of Glutathione

Many people wonder what the definition of glutathione really is.

For starters – it’s an antioxidant found in your body already.

The problem we’re finding however, is that not only does the level of glutathione decrease in your body by about 10-15% per decade…but also that environmental factors such as pollution, processed foods, stress, smoking, drinking and basically anything “bad for your body” eats up your glutathione levels faster than a dog eats fallen food scraps!

But in case you’re looking for a more defined definition of glutathione, here is what I’ve found to be the best definition of glutathione – found in Dorland’s Medical Dictionary for Health Consumers.

Glutathione Definition – A tripeptide of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine, existing in reduced (GSH) and oxidized (GSSG) forms and functioning in various redox reactions: in the destruction of peroxides and free radicals, as a cofactor for enzymes, and in the detoxification of harmful compounds. It is also involved in the formation and maintenance of disulfide bonds in proteins and in transport of amino acids across cell membranes.

Interesting, right?

Of course not!

In laymens terms, the definition of glutathione is simply an antioxidant that controls all the other antioxidants in your body.

In other words – when your glutathione levels deplete…you die.

I’m not  joking. Glutathione is kind of like the engine of a car. The engine controls the output of that car and if the engine dies, the car dies. It’s the same with glutathione.

Now, can you imagine how your body is working after 50, 60, even 70 years of your glutathione levels dropping at a rate of roughly 10-15% per decade?

When you think of it this way, the definition of glutathione makes it pretty scary. Because if your body doesn’t have enough of it to kill free radicals or help control the other antioxidants in your body – your body is much more susceptible to something “overtaking” it and making you sick.

That’s why you need MAX GXL – proven to increase your glutathione levels by just about 297%.
