Why Whey And Glutathione Are The Perfect Combination!

There is a lot of information there talking about the relationship between glutathione and whey. By “whey”, I’m talking about whey protein – which is a type of protein easily absorbed and assimilated by the body.

While whey is typically used by bodybuilders and glutathione is typically used by older individuals trying to look and feel better – there is a VERY interested relationship between glutathione and whey that you should know about.

What is it?

Whey Increases Glutathione Levels!

I’m going to give you a research study in a second actually proving this, but think about this. If whey increases glutathione, and glutathione lowers your risk of cancer and many other horrible illnesses, doesn’t it make sense to say that whey in fact reduces your risk of cancer?

Absolutely! Granted, maybe it’s not the most groundbreaking thing you’ve ever heard – but everything helps right?

You see, I personally like to lift weights myself and I’ve been taking whey for quite some time. I highly recommend doing both.

But that’s not why I’m talking to you about this today – I’m talking to you to explain that whey and glutathione go hand-in-hand.

Here’s the abstract of a research study I found to prove this:

“Epidemiological and experimental studies suggest that dietary milk products may exert an inhibitory effect on the development of severaltypes of tumors. Some recent experiments in rodents indicate that the anti-tumor activity of the dairy products is in the protein fraction andmore specifically in the whey protein component of milk. We and others have demonstrated that whey protein diets result in increasedglutathione (GSH) concentration in a number of tissues, and that some of the beneficial effects of whey protein intake are abrogated byinhibition of GSH synthesis. Whey protein is particularly rich in substrates for GSH synthesis. We suggest that whey protein may beexerting its effect on carcinogenesis by enhancing GSH concentration.”

So in basic “human” terms, what does this mean?

By Increasing Glutathione Levels, Whey Helps Prevent Tumors And Cancer!

Now one thing you may be thinking is “ok, well, what do I do with whey protein”?

My advice is this.

Step 1 – Go get yourself a tub of whey protein. (I like to mix chocolate whey protein powder with fruits for a breakfast smoothie)

Step 2 – Start working out with weights as well as low-impact cardio such as walking or jogging.
